This is an interesting one. I bet cell numbers are pretty similar in most adult people but cells can grow and shrink in size as we do. These little devils are the fat cells…… we don’t want those ones getting bigger

No doubt we get more cells as we grow because everything gets bigger.

It all depends on our weight and height. We all have different amount of cells, bigger people should have more cells than smaller people. However the types are the same, although in some diseases those cells don’t work in the same way as in a healthy person.

Oooh tough one. Taller people would have more cells, as would heavier people. But I think they’re probably similar. Unfortunately if you have a tumour you would have a lot more cells because the cells reproduce out of control.

Everyone has a similar amount of cells in their bodies but like all the guys have said, it varies a little bit depending on how tall you are – your muscles and bones are longer so you need more cells, and how much you weigh – if you have more fat you have more fat cells!
