Yes, I wanted to be a vet for years, then at GCSE decided that people were more interesting than animals so thought about doing medicine instead. I wasn’t entirely sure though, so also looked at physiotherapy, nursing, occupational therapy and midwifery. I finally realised I was trying to find a career rather than a subject I enjoyed, so settled on Biomedical Science. And I’m very glad I did 😀 I do think I’d have enjoyed midwifery though.
I didn’t really no! I always wanted to be a Vet and could cope with the idea of operating on and treating animals but for some reason I didn’t like the idea of operating on people!
Yes but after I’d done my studies at University. Being a medical doctor as well as having a great science background would be ideal. There are plenty of doctors that do both science and medicine.
Quite a lot of students do biology and then go on to do medicine afterwards.
I wanted to be a doctor when a was at school. But during one vaccination I fainted and fell over the floor! 🙁 So my fear of needles wasn’t compatible with the idea of studying Medicine at all!
