If you leave the lid off for long enough, it will. PVA relies on being dissolved in water so you can spread it, but if you let the water evaporate out from it, it goes solid. So it’s liquid in the bottle because the water can’t evaporate but if you leave the lid off, it can and the glue would stick.

      I think for two reasons:
      1. the bottle is sealed most of the time so the glue stays liquid because there is no evaporation. If you leave the lid off the bottle for a while you will see it start to stick to the bottle because the liquid will evaporate.

2.the inside of the bottle is coated with something that stops the glue from sticking to it.

PVA is the best for peeling off your skin when it’s dried! 🙂

I know I’ve not answered the question but Helen and Alexis have sorted that bit.
