There are lots of planets out there. When I was at school I learnt a rhyme to remember the order of the planets in our solar system. It is: My (Mercury) Very (Venus) Easy (Earth) Method (Mars) Just (Jupiter) Speeds (Saturn) Up (Uranus) Naming (Neptune) Planets (Pluto). Although Scientists debated for many years whether Pluto is actually a planet and in 2006 it was decided by the International Astronomical Union that it wasn’t a planet. However lots of people still disagree with this decision and some people still count Pluto as one of the planets in our solar system. Out of all the other planets Mars is thought to be most like Earth!
