• Question: What is the function of tears and why do we cry when we are sad or get hurt?

      I think from an evolutionary point of view it’s a sign to other people that something is wrong and you need help. It’s also a release of emotions for you – it often makes you feel better after you cry.

      Tears are full of molecules that help kill bacteria. These help us to not get infections. By they also lubricate so we can blink stuff out of our eyes by washing it away
