Question: Why are plant tissues so much harder to classify than animal tissues?

What an interesting question and when I first read it I thought, ‘I don’t think they are’. So I thought I’d look it up. There are some opinions out there that think plant tissues are harder to classify because they change as the plant grows and they are not distinct like animal tissues. I’m not sure though whether they are truly harder to classify – I haven’t studied plants since I was at school!
