      Never.

Don’t get me wrong, there are times when (in the lab) you have to do the same thing over and over and over (a little monotonous) BUT you can always fit other things in to give you variety. In research you have the ability to mix it up. I’m not sure that all jobs can give you that!

No! I love it. And every day is so different that even if you have to do something that you don’t really enjoy doing then you can balance it by doing something you do really like doing. So if I have to analyse lots of data on the computer (which can be quite boring), I can balance it out by going to do something fun like making movies of cells dividing!

Being a Scientist is certainly never boring! There are new discoveries to be made every day. Although it can be a bit frustrating when your experiments don’t work, the enthusiasm for your research soon reappears particularly when you talk to non-Scientists who want to know all about your work 🙂
