I haven’t but that’d be great. I’m always happy to bring students into my labs for short visits so that they can do an experiment or two. i’ve lined up some students for work experience. This is what I’d use the cash for if I won! Students need to see a real lab working for them to really understand what science is all about. Books, exams….. that’s not really science. Science is about getting your hands dirty and designing experiments.

I have not been on TV no, although I was working in the lab when another Scientist was being interviewed by the BBC! I would love to get more involved with getting children involved with Science 🙂 We did have some children come into the Vet School (where I work) for the day and I helped them look at some parasites down the microscope! I also volunteer with a Rainbows group (girls aged 5-7) and last week we had a go and making our own (pretend) sewage and then tried to filter it! They really enjoyed learning about how our waste water gets cleaned – some of them even enjoyed making the fake poo!

No but I really wish I had! I have done lots of science experiments with children at science fairs but noone has ever filmed me doing them!
