Great question. I think anyone that has a pet cat will think they sleep all the time. Some cats do actually sleep for up to 20 hours a day. Wolves sleep for less time – similar to humans at about 7-8 hours a day.
What an interesting question! A pet cat can sleep for long periods of the day and night. This is because they don’t really need to hunt. Wild cats will sleep for less time than a pet cat.
Wolves sleep in the open, not in their den. They can sleep stretched out or curled up with their nose under their tail. They mostly sleep after a meal or at least rest near to where they had the meal. Apparently, Scientists who observe wolves have noticed that during Winter wolves will sleep or rest for about 30% of the time!
