• Question: if there is a mold on our bread and you still pick it off and eat the bread what will happen and how many different mold are there

      Well I always used to do this when I was a student and didn’t have much money! But I think really it’s a bad idea. You can only see big patches of mould on the bread. There may be smaller patches that you can’t see. Some moulds (and bacteria) could cause sickness and diarrhoea so its better to be safe and throw it away I think.

      I am a student and I do do it occasionally! I do agree with Alexis though, there are probably smaller parts of the mould that you can’t see – so it is best to throw it away and get some fresh bread.

      There are likely lots of mould around. But the trouble is that you can pick of the mould but you can’t pick off the toxins that some of them make! They can be cancer forming. Check out the web for aflatoxin!
