  Unfortunately, there is no cure for osteoarthritis at the moment. That is why Scientists like me are looking into ways of helping the cells repair the tissue that is damaged. At the moment patients mainly get medicine to reduce the pain in their joints. They can also have an operation to repair the damaged tissue but the new tissue is not as good as the original tissue that was there.
