Such a classic question! Well, I think the egg came first. Before the chicken, there was a similar animal that laid eggs. Over time that animal has adapted and changed to become what we now call a chicken, this is called evolution. However, this is a question that has been strongly debated for many years and probably will continue to be for many years to come!

I’m pretty sure it was the egg. If you think about it, dinosaurs existed much earlier than chickens, and they laid eggs as part of their reproduction process.

Egg. The first genuine chicken (or what we call a chicken today) was probably born from an egg of a similar bird and gradually evolved into a chicken.

That’s some username you’ve got yourself!

Got to be the egg! Reptiles lay eggs and birds evolved from dinosaurs (some of which had feathers).
