• Question: What is the worst thing about being a scientist?

      I think probably the fact that there isn’t a lot of money to fund scientific research which means you can’t always do the precise experiment you want to do. It does mean that you have to be creative instead and come up with other ways of doing the experiment that don’t cost as much.

      When it doesn’t work! Alexis is definitely right about the money problems, but on a day to day basis, it can get really frustrating when you try to do an experiment over and over again and it doesn’t work. A lot of being a scientist is perseverance, troubleshooting and repeating the same thing over and over. BUT when you do get it working, there is nothing like it 😀

      The worst thing is also the best thing. It depends what mood you are in.

      I totally agree with Helen! The worst thing about being a Scientist is when an experiment doesn’t work, but all that means it you just try a different way until it works. It is definitely worth the effort once you get a result!
